So where’s your complaint about Lowe’s and Home Depot? They’ve destroyed lumber companies and local hardware stores. Or you just pissed that Walmart won’t hire you?

Dollar General is competing alright with them.

More dangerous than anything you mention is their massive lobby for welfare and food stamp programs knowing they are the direct recipient of the high majority of those guvment hand outs.

Amazon is a 1000x better for small businesses than Wal-Mart.

Because it is one of the few places where we're safe from the Rona.

Well your user name is rather ironic to your post seeing as to how Henry Ford is considered the father of mass production of a product.

I was one of the thirteen to downvote you. Because you are the biggest idiot on this board.

Stick to Saturday morning football threads on the MSB.

This may come as a shock to you, but Walmart does still have a significant amount of US made goods on the shelf.

Yes some items like electronics, toys, clothes, and tools maybe made in China or BFE.

But most of the food you buy, cleaning supplies, paper products, and more are made in the USA.

Some foods are even made right here in Louisiana and stocked on their shelves across the region. Regionally, I have even seen that Walmart’s gallon sized jugs are bottled in Shreveport using the Shreveport public water system. Walmart has even allowed some small food manufacturers sell their products on their shelves.

Because Walmart still provides the comic relief of their patrons' antics and the mental uplift of having a place to go and say "I feel so good about my life after being in there."

The textile mills never made it to Louisiana because the swamp trash were too dumb to work there?

BS. Walmart products come from China. used to be they advertised their products were made in America.
not anymore.
it's all about the dollar.

i don't go there unless it's absolutely i can't get it anywhere else.

i try to buy from local markets only. cost a bit more but it supports my community.

actually you are the idiot.

do some research and have your eyes opened.

walmart is in it to help walmart.
low wages for the workers. China cheap crap.
drives away local businesses.

i'm not supporting these corporate giants. Homo Depot is very similar.

I think you need to do research. Walmart gives boatloads to communities here. It’s made life a ton better with their emergence. You’re confusing two different things.

In NWA Walmart is directly responsible for museums, music facilities, theaters, food banks, athletic and PE enhancements, charity, hospital improvements, and many many more things.

Because they're the absolute best at capitalism.

Sure they took away a shite load of jobs, but those jobs were minimum wage also.

You can make plenty of money from Walmart if you are willing to make 1 of 2 choices.

1. Be a store manager and be willing to move.

2. Transfer to Bentonville Arkansas. I have lived in Bentonville my entire life. My wife started as a cashier and doesn't have a degree to this day.

She spent over a decade getting promoted through Walmart and jumped to the vendor side.

She's on the cusp of making 7 figures with a high school diploma.

Part of the problem is that people think they need to earn great money where they stand.

Sometimes you have to go where the money is, but most people aren't willing to do that.

Well frick, man, of course they give a lot to the community in northwest fricking Arkansas. But in most other communities, Walmart does more harm than good.

Well frick man (to quote you) read my full post you partly quoted. I said specifically my region and then in multiple post mentioned Arkansas. Sorry I don’t live in a shitty state like you.
