So many are using this as a metric as to when things can return to normal, but there is no telling how long this will take, if ever. Not to mention, I don’t think a large portion of the population will be clamoring to be guinea pigs on version 1.0 of this. I’m not an anti-Vaxer at all, but I’ll be hesitant on this one at least until it’s proven on a mass scale.

Just to clarify, no vaccine and no pharma product that knocks it out?

There won’t be.

It will mutate and we will build partial immunity to it as it blends into the background of viruses that circulate yearly as a mild flu like virus.

The vaccine, if we develop one will likely be no more effective than a conventional flu vaccine......which means maybe 50-60% effective. I’ve heard several people say they’re not taking any COVID19 vaccine until it’s been around at least two years and then they may still say no.

There may not be but there will be effective treatments once we have more time to study. I have no doubt in that. I read something awhile back that didn’t think we would ever have a vaccine and said the next generation will refer to the winter sick period as “cold, flu, and corona season”.

There won’t be a vaccine. There’s no vaccine for the previous Covid viruses. Holding out for a vaccine is just the Democrats justification to destroy the economy and insure Trump’s defeat. They want you out of work, ruined financially or dead.

There WILL be a vaccine, it probably won't work as a cure, but it will do great as a delivery as a tracking mechanism. There has to be a vaccine for ID2020 to be implemented IMO.

I don’t care if there is. I won’t be taking it any time soon. And I’m not even close to an anti-vaxer except with this one.

If the Dems win the election, a vaccine will suddenly appear.

Herd immunity is what we will move to, anyway, before a vaccine is fully deployed, IMHO.

This whole "slowly pulling the bandage off" technique has been a multi-trillion dollar (yet understandable) error.

We shouldn't compound it. Kick the tires and light the fires.

Everybody go back to work, treat the sick, protect the vulnerable and get to herd immunity, ASAFP.

There is no vaccine for the flu or the common cold. There is no vaccine for AIDS or leprosy either.

Polio, measles, smallpox--- they all have a vaccine.

Should we continue to live like lepers in 1965 Cuba or AIDS patients in 1995 Cuba until a vaccine is found for the Chinese Commie Cough?

Then I'll never have to tell them where they can stick it.
