Nobody on earth refers to linebackers and edge rushers as skill positions.

Skill Position: Larry Burton - WR drafted number seven in the first round in 1975.
Non Skill Position: Brandon Browner, in every aspect from lack of leadership and not making plays to game changing penalties.

The speeder and Killer from Tenn. hated that guy

It has to be Browner. PFF Grade in 2015: 27.4
Other candidates:
Jason David 2007
Corey White 2014

There’s a whole lot of names in this thread reminding me of the various holes in the wall I had to re-plaster.

Yeah we had a lot of busts at DB over the years. Still do with guys like PJ and PRob. Which is why I get nauseated every time I see them on the field on a critical play.

Prob belongs no where close to the worst. He was at least in the picture most times.
Fred thomas just got old, he was solid for years.
Chip lohmiller couldnt make an extra point to save his life in the 90s for the saints.
Jason david had an article come out about him where they compared the success rate of passing to receivers with no one covering them and comparing it to David covering them. Qb’s had better numbers against David than against thin air.
Im sire there were players back in the 70s and 80s just as bad if not worse that i dont know about.
Browner also deserves honorable mention because of his penchant for drawing flags and his assholic attitude to go along with terrible play.
Will also submit adrian peterson in his brief stint for similar reasons.

This is easy. The worst skilled player in the history of the Saints is Larry Burton from Purdue. This guy was drafted relatively high in the first round as a wide receiver. He had Olympic speed, but there was one problem; he could not catch at all. His career was very brief.

Without a shadow of a doubt it would be Fred Thomas for sure. If a any receiver made a double move in his route you would routinely find ole Fred on the ground flat on his stupid face.

In 2012, he was horrible. Overall he's not the worst I agree, but probably the worst player on that team. Allowed a 105+ QBR, which is not quite Jason David 2007, but not far off.
In fairness, that was the bountygate season that was fucq from the beginning

For several years was a good scrappy CB for the Saints. He was a good tackler and very aggressive. But man, age hit him quick

Turducky Jones or Dante Stallpepper
