Living to 90 is quite a feat, but not for a man who accomplished so much in his lifetime and career.

RIP Coach

Buddy of mine married his granddaughter 2 years ago. Was lucky enough to get to talk to him and get a picture with the GOAT. RIP

A great journey for this coach. Very few will ever reach his stature. R.I.P. & thanks for the memories.

Covid related?

Who gives a shite?

My guess is it was "he-was-90-years-old-and-had-looked-frail-for-a-long-time" related.

Dude actually worked out his wife before they were married. Had her show him her backpeddle. When asked why, he said if we have boys, they might be defensive backs.

When I think of all the games he coached 4 come to mind. The 1969 SB loos to the Jets, the SB win to cap a perfect season, the epic playoff game with the Chargers in 1982 , and them beating the Bears on MNF in 1985. Great great coach.

My parents were acquaintances of Shula and his family back when they lived down there years ago.

They always said he was a good, decent person.

I've never heard anyone ever say an unkind word about Don Shula. RIP to a true gentleman.

On top of being able to adapt offensively his defenses were very good. You don't get to .667 winning percentage over 30 plus years without having great defense...the No Names and the Killer B's

I remember watching that Monday Night game against the Bears. It showed what good coaching could do.
