Could it be any more obvious that Covid is a Scam?

I'm going to take a break from Pandemic threads after this so that I don't get in trouble with mods.
Look, I understand that proper precautions need to be taken. I'm not saying you shouldn't follow them.
But this entire situation is convenient for Democratic policies and positions in an election year. The rallies have stopped. The economy has come to a halt in many respects and unemployment is artificially made higher because of it.
The Democrats can't win based on principles so they have to resort to literally nerfing the economy and social interaction in order to stand a chance at winning the White House.
I'm prepared for downvotes.
Edit: thanks. Yes I know that Covid is real. It's the response to Covid that is the problem. And notice how all the shutdowns conviently allow politicians to operate as normal and hurt businesses that don't have enough federal or private insurance to take the loss.

I don't know that it is a scam. The virus is real and there is no vaccine, that part is real. It may or may not be more contagious that is up for debate. But the fact is it is being used by politicians and the media for political reasons.

So all those body bags being loaded into freezer trucks are fake? All those bodies found stacked by a crematoria are fakes? A friend's mother was one of 15 to die in a nursing home of the virus, another fake? Oh, right, it's the flu. The political divide is real & disgusting. But the deaths are not a scam.

No downvote here , its hard for some to come to this reality . They got scammed . How can anyone come to any other conclusion after going through the last three and a half years of a fake Russian collusion and Impeachment hoaxes . Now all of sudden , heres this virus in Trumps re-election year . What are the odds of that ? To convenient ? No, its not when it only benefits one political party .

So is the idea the entirety of the rest of the world is in on the scam as well? What's in it for the UK for instance?

The good news is people are not dying of pneumonia. Deaths from pneumonia are at record lows. It seems we have found a cure for pneumonia that is not talked about.
