Pelosi said during an interview on MSNBC that she thinks the financial aid established by the coronavirus relief package enacted into law last month should be extended in some form.

So we can have another relief package to make sure we get the mail in ballots on the agenda.

expressed openness to a minimum guaranteed income

Which already exists. $7.25/hr (Federal rate) * 40 hours a week * 4 weeks in a month = $1,160 per month. Let people go to work

This is the M.O. for Dems.

Their beliefs are way way way to the left of what they’ll say publicly. They’re waiting for public sentiment to move to the left, or at least for the perception that they’ve moved left. Then they can announce their “new found” leftist policy that they like.

Example: Remember all the Dems who were against gay marriage 10 - 15 years ago? Remember when Hillary said there was no way to make the numbers work for universal health care?

Amen. Rip all these stupid fricking programs out and implement UBI. Past UBI, you are on your fricking own.

Yep.

I get absolutely nothing from this welfare state.

Give everyone equally whatever amount of money and then that is absolutely it. Zero programs funded past that amount. Zero federal agencies devoted to shuffling funds around.

The floor will be set higher and we will save hundreds of billions on paper pushers in Fed.gov

I am for it at this point. Once again only if they eliminated all the rest.

I'd trade a true UBI for everyone 18 and over in exchange for all the other social programs and an eliminationnifnthe federal.minimum wage. We can keep social security and disability, but the benefit gets reduced by the amounts received from those programs.

Hey Pelosi,

While we're making everything equal, I'm coming over and eating all that ice cream in your fridge.

Dumb b****.

free housing, SNAP benefits, welfare, cell phone and cable programs are all minimum guaranteed income already. It’s just In a format that is protected (a bit) so that people can’t spend it on alcohol, drugs , rims/tires etc.
