If hostility has taught us anything, it’s that no empire lasts forever. Sadly, the US will be no exception. So how and when do you think the time will come when the US is relegated to the dust bin of history?

I think once states (and "coalitions") basically start going it on their own, ignoring the federal government to the point where the President is relegated to figurehead, whom then eventually dissolves the USA by executive order because the house of cards tumbled and won't be funded anymore. Similar to the Soviet Union, but also not.

Impossible. You can't default on debt in your own currency denomination. You just print more money. You just add two more zeros to your currency.
