I chuckled at this.

Working as an appraiser, I would go to local courthouses almost every day.

30% of those county employees could easily be terminated.

City/county inspectors of all types are usually some the most corrupt people you will find in local government.

I'm all for cutting state pensions, including per diems and food/housing/travel allowances of state legislators, and their state pensions (if any). They should ALL be in 401ks. Those currently receiving state pensions should be forced to convert to 401ks. I believe this can be done through state bankruptcy. States are not going to be able to continue making current pension payments so revenue is very likely going to try to be raised through additional taxes.

No shiat. Along with private employees of small companies and corp's. And yes, federal employees. But WTF man we've got us a flu loose out here. Eating and shelter ain't no big deal when that flu bug starts spreading.

One of my coworkers wife is a county employee in Johnson County KS. She has several underlings in her IT department that she’s placing on furlough this week. I think a lot of employers are reassessing their staffing needs, there’s probably a lot of laid off workers who won’t be recalled.

That and since the economy is closed up (except for internet commerce) there is hardly any sales tax being generated. Which is fricking awesome IMO. Democrats a victim of their own stupidity. This is a great way to downsize gubbamint.

Good. If there’s something that was confirmed during this shite is that government employees are overpaid, useless, or both.

If we get rid of govt and teachers this might almost be worth it....OK OK, the MSM also.

There, I could be on board to keep this shite shut down for 18....19 months.

In LA, public schools have not been cut - their funding has been frozen, but not cut. Tremendous amount of fat.. Jindal cut universities so they receive only about 30% of their funding from the state. It's time to closely scrutinize funding for public education in LA.

If Fed employees ever get cut, it needs to start in the U.S. Post Office. My mail clerk says half her office are in the final stages of retirement & because of union protection, are safe from termination. i.e. half her office sits around all day doing nothing.

FIX THE frickING ROADS!

You can social distance and lay tar. Do NOT wait until people go back to work to do the major road projects.

Oh NM... I'm asking LA and EBR civil leaders to make efficient decisions to benefits the people paying their lazy and greedy asses.
