The biggest barrier to opening up will be lawyers

I can already picture the commercials that will be airing in June
“Did you or a loved one experience flu like symptoms after being forced to return to work? Get Gordon. Get It Done”
All the measures grocery stores are taking probably make a statistically insignificant difference in spread of the virus. Its all about liability and making a case you did what you reasonably could.

That would be pretty rich considering he was blasted for forcing his employees to continue working when other businesses were not.
Then again, none of it surprises me.

I agree 100%. Not all lawyers, THOSE lawyers.

Nope. It’s gonna be impossible to prove you got the virus at work

I am waiting on them to put the strong arm of the law up against Cantrell and Edwards for not canceling Mardi Gras.. I predict a class action law suit in the very near future..

How can you prove the person was infected at work?

That’s not how it works. Proving causation with Covid would be impossible.

Yep. OP fired and missed.
Dem governments will be the problem. Politics will be at the root of it.

Yeah, no. Cut one quick check and you open the floodgates. Unless individuals can prove extraordinary circumstances, they are going to be shite out of luck.

You can't necessarily prove a person got cancer from the cigarettes either

Lawyers aren't essential or critical
courts are closed until May 4

A first year law student can handle the cases:
"What evidence do you have that you contracted the disease at work?"

Not entirely accurate, at least not in Baton Rouge. While courts are closed to the public, and all previously docketed matters are reassigned, "essential proceedings" like arraignments, bond arguments, etc, are still being docketed, but with (almost) everyone appearing remotely.
Now, with that said, I assume all civil matters are shut out for the time being.
