Land O'Lakes is changing up its packaging. The company has scrapped the Native American woman who has appeared on its dairy products since 1928.

She is being replaced by lands and lakes, along with the phrase "Farmer-owned since 1921."

The change was announced back in February — when the design change was made to some products, but many consumers are just now noticing the new packaging.

In a statement, the company says it wanted a new look that represents the foundation and heart of Land O'Lakes.

The statement did not mention the Native American illustration. The new packaging is expected to be on all Land O'Lakes products by the end of 2020.

Now that’s being a leader. Now they can talk to the Redskins and convince them to do the same!

If one was trying to break into the butter business what would he need besides cows and land.

I have a pack in my fridge now with the indian lady on it. Definitely keeping it for sentimental purposes.

I knew I had finally made it when I was able to buy Land O Lakes instead of Parkay and not think twice about it
