The middle storm of the 3 tornado warned storms in Baldwin County is wrapped up tight.

Unfortunately, the best radar for looking at the storms in southeast Alabama (KEOX) went down about 35 minutes ago. Really bad timing.

Think I saw someone mention lightning being the culprit of taking it down. No idea if that is accurate or not

Probably had pre-existing conditions

Confirmed some interior rotting based on my after 3 scotch evaluation. When it fell it crashed through my back fence right between two fence posts, so actual property damage is limited to two 2x4’s, and handful of planks, and one replacement pair of boxers.

Lot behind me has buildings (also not hit), but is vacant and was sold to a developer who’s going to demo and do new construction some months back.

Anyone have a good contact for who can remove a fallen tree in St Tammany on short notice?

From what I am gathering via police scanner, it looks like that big arse tornado that went thru southern Ms did not directly hit a town. All the damage must be from the winds off of it as it missed some towns because I heard one cop say “we gonna need some help , never seen so many trees down.” Seemed like every cop that radioed in said same and that they could not get down any road. I think a bunch of citizens with chain saws came to help and they still cutting and removing trees.

One of the Bama guys said he was seeing heavy winds and a lot of lightning but mostly heavy rain. Hopefully they came out ok.

Well, just heard only my second rescue attempt. Switched over to Marion county fire dispatch and an elderly lady is trapped in her house. I guess as they remove trees they’ll be getting to residences. This will likely go on all night.

My uncle just confirmed, after driving around his house near Old Mandeville, there is an obvious path of tree damage. Something likely touched down there.

My heart goes out to those in Central MS and AL....
