We can’t even protect our hospital workers. The numbers in Louisiana will skyrocket if we open it back up. Then we will be doing this all over again

So what do you suggest? 6 more months? A year. Hell why not 2?

I mean cant open up, someone may get sick, then get someone else sick. I mean there's so much out the flu, common cold, the shits. Cant take any chances

The goal for nursing homes was never to prevent exposure, only to gradually introduce it.

Eh. I think they’re trying to avoid it.

You can’t even type “talking points”.

When the times right the Governor will let us know. He has experts including federal government to help guide him. I understand it’s frustrating. I’m frustrated too. Maybe we start to see better numbers in May.

1) no one knows that
2) the epidemiologists expect it to until there’s a vaccine. So unless you’re planning on keeping it shut down for another 12 months

It’s going to get fast tracked probably in late July or sometime in August. The vaccine is already in Phase 2.

Trump is already hinting at starting to open things up, or atleast working to try and ease CDC guidelines. So we are already working on it.

But keep pushing the fear until the media tells you to stop

Trying yes but nobody thought they were truly going to keep it out. It’s impossible without making staff live at the facilities, preventing hospital Er visits and stopping outpatient dialysis.

Prevention was never the real goal.

Yeah. But you want to prevent losing 45 residents. I think?

Losing that many patients suggests a bigger issue.

As of yesterday there were roughly 75 SNFs in the state with positive cases. 350 or so total patients.

Many of those are asymptomatic. most have very manageable symptoms. Natural the mortality rate is higher but it’s not a death sentence even among Snf patients.

The vaccine is in a fast track and getting it done in a year would be a feat of modern medicine. Did you just make up this up or do you have a link?

Of course it does. And a lot of SNFs have bigger issues.

This is getting out of hand. Were talking about Flu numbers and everyone is running around with mask on. First it was 200k then 100k now less.
