Dow will be at 30,000 by early summer

At the rate the market is going up the past few days, I think Dow is on its way to 30,000 by early summer. What 100,000 deaths? What 30% unemployment? What Pandemic? It's like the Corona drop never happened. People who went and bought in at the 18K-20K levels will look like geniuses here shortly. Does anyone dare short the market at this point?

If that happens, the democrat party will experience a MASSIVE suicide pandemic.

Well historically there's a 2nd dip and it's always worse than the first. Let's see if history repeats itself.

“Don’t fight the fed” brought his big brother (The White House) into the game.

I don’t think we hit 30k by early summer, that’s 27% upside from here. However, everyone’s looking at historical recessionary trends to analyze this market which I think is wrong. I can see us breaking even on the year then going sideways until the election.

Won’t go sideways until election. Everyone knows GEOTUS will be re-elected. The market will be a rocket ship passing the moon for Mars by November.

As Rick Santelli said, it's the Great Cessation. Start her up.

I’m not sure this is an apples to apples comparison to historical dips

Maybe by December if Trump wins.

You and poster MillerLiteTime should chit-chat.

You're assuming we pick up where we left off...prolly not. Damage to earnings will be real. Folks will ease back into things. Think going back to a restaurant after an ecoli breakout. Will be a process, and virus will still be around.

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it. There has been a lot of economic damage and earnings will be ugly. Add in uncertainty over the election, and I think we will be lucky to see 25,000. I also predict that we will continue to see some very ugly drops and a lot of volatility.

I am riding the roller coaster down and hopefully up, but if it hits 30,000 this summer my arse is selling.

Don’t ever rule anything out. I don’t think it’ll happen but you have to be open minded or you will not be successful with stocks or trading or whatever it is you’re doing in the market

The sad thing is the damage that has been done already even with an early to mid May opening of the economy and stores I don’t think it’s going to be enough. I hope I’m wrong. I don’t even want to think about a scenario where this goes until June or July.
