A judge in Kentucky is ordering people who refuse to stay at home after coming in contact with coronavirus patients to wear ankle monitors.
The severe measures are being taken in Jefferson County, which is home to Louisville, according to CNN affiliate WDRB.
In one instance, a person identified as D.L., a resident of Louisville, was living with "someone who has tested positive for the illness and another person who is a presumptive case," according to an affidavit. D.L. was ordered to isolate but “leaves the house often,” family members said.
Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Angela Bisig ordered the Department of Corrections to fit D.L. with an ankle monitor.
There are at least three other cases of people in Louisville breaking self-isolation orders in the area who were subsequently fit for ankle monitors.
States have cracked down on self-isolation recently, including in New York, where Gov. Andrew Cuomo called on the New York Police Department to be “more aggressive” and in Pennsylvania, where a woman was pulled over and fined for taking a leisurely drive alone.

I believe New York just raised their fines to $1000

Seems like a major violation of the law.

Well, that is a little unconstitutional

What the hell? Have people absolutely lost their friggin' minds?

the next one of these frickers who refers to the President as "literally Hitler" needs to be reminded of who is requiring people to "show their papers." Out here Mayor Garcetti is asking people to report those who aren't following the stay-at-home orders.
I can't wait to get out of this fricking cesspool.

This is an appropriate usage of a quarantine. He’s been exposed and we know it. He has to sit his arse at home for the duration of the quarantine. This is in contrast to population-wide, stay-at-home orders.

I don't necessarily see anything Unconstitutional about it, generally speaking, however, it does appear that the person is not being treated the same as the medical staffs that are exposed to it. To me these orders would probably be ruled unconstitutional (or enforced unconstitutionally) on those grounds, meaning not being uniform and singling particular people out.
Furthermore, if the person never had an opportunity to contest the administrative order that should be attacking first as how can the court review an order which has not been adjudicated?
The problem is... these aren't quarantines. As far as I am concern, if someone wants to quarantine me... they need to take me to a State facility and start footing the bill.

If people are being arrested then the article should say government mandated isolation.

Rhymes with "hunconstitutional", I would think.

I mean, if you or someone you share a living space with are confirmed to have the virus, I don't have an issue with this.

So, are the families of Dr's and nurses being done the same way? Are they restricted from movement?
Just curious...
If due process was given, I don't see the issue with this...

It is like they are trying to provoke a shooting.

All liberals should be required to wear this shite. The rest of us can do as we please because we aren’t actively trying to kill millions of innocent people.
