Yep. I've been on STX almost a year and a half and it's only the second I have seen.

Headed to the Chandeleurs right now. Winds are pushing hard from the south.

Fished bayou black again this weekend. Still catching tons of small bass and assorted perch. Topwater bite is off, I’m guessing all the river water pushing thru our area. Crabs are thick like the gnats, 2 doz or more per trap.

I went Saturday. Based on the wind forecast of light winds out of the SE with waves of a foot or less in Breton Sound, I went to Comfort Island. The wind was howling out of the NE with 2 to 3ft seas. I went back inside and got on some reds and sheepshead in Pete's Lagoon. Great job weather guys.

Hit West Galveston Bay two weekends ago and the weather was terrible.....windy as hell and bay super rough.

Headed to Jamaica Beach this weekend, but damned if the winds look insane again. Guess I'll catch a drunk, boil some crawfish and pull in a few canal reds over the light.

Much better scenery though

I can't remember when the wind reports were this bad. Not only wrong on the speed of the wind, but completely wrong direction as well.

That speed really helped us on the hyacinth spraying this past weekend. Just need it to flip so we can spray the other side of the the ponds.

Got back from the Chandeleurs this afternoon and the trout bite was on Fire!!!! Water is cold as shite so wear insulated waders. Tore all of the big ones up on a bone colored top water.

Caught and released close to sixty but did keep 12 2 1/2 pounders for groceries.

Wind was a mother last night. It was howl long from the ESE at 20-25 then woke up this morning to a consistent 10-15 from the South. Water clarity was a little dirty but it started settling down as I headed back around 10 am.

Fished Freemason for few mins last night and struck out. Saw some guys fishing it this morning but saw one guy with nothing and another reeling in a small trout.

No one was at the Chandeleurs wade fishing though. I didn’t see another boat anywhere.

Trout are starting their spring pattern here, put 7 in the boat yesterday after work. Too rough to fish birds so I went to my big wind spot. Water is green up to c Pt but probably good up to moss lake also.
