You MIGHT have some unknown funds due to you just sitting there that you can claim. Just check the website and see if you have a few dollars that you could buy that new fishing setup, some lures or a few rounds of ammo with or maybe even get that new firearm you've been wanting.
Louisiana Unclaimed Propeerty website
You are welcome by the way! Lol........ Seriously though, check it out. And if you have or had a business check that as well. I had something sitting there since 2004 and just found out about it.

Done. Awaiting my email with further instructions. It must be like a security deposit or something...

I just got the email. It requires documentation that the address was mine. Not sure how I am going to prove than an apartment that long ago was mine

Gov Honor Code has his eyes on this account so get yours before he gets his from you.

I would assume so but I was only there for 6 months and never changed my drivers license address from my parents house so I don't have any tax returns with that address on it. I called the apartment complex but they don't have records that far back. oh well

There is a list of acceptable things they will take. I had a $1600 check from escrow from
Years ago. Had to go to get a few things notarized and sent to them Took like 90 days iirc.

It is legit. A few years ago, I got about $200 from an old Blue Cross policy

Unfortunately, I have nothing proving my address there that I can think of.

Any idea how this would work for someone that is deceased? Ran my pawpaws name and had quite a few hits.
Posted on 4/6/20 at 1:20 pm to bullred84
Maybe in the hands of his estate?
Posted on 4/6/20 at 1:44 pm to bullred84
You can claim as the heir or executor of the estate. Requires a few more docs but I did it for my granpappy
