I'm thinking 04-06 or so.

NCAA Football was somewhat new but blowing up

MVP Baseball was released

College and NBA games available

Madden was still good

NASCAR games were quality time wasters

Not really. 2k football had passed them up in terms of quality, hence why they paid for exclusive rights to the NFL.

The release of Xbox 360 and PS3 die to broadband connections and allowing online play. Mindless fun playing NCAA online back in the day. I’d be nervous all game worried about screwing up. Now, if it were still around, I probably wouldn’t care as much.

Personal preference, but you bring up a great point that there was actual competition

What's your point? Are you a fricking bot?

I loved Tony larussa baseball... One of the earliest realistic games. You actually had to warm your relief pitchers up.

Sorry if my thoughts didn't fit into your Cinderella dream world for responses, those were my favorite sports game and the dates they came out.

When you next start a thread please include a template of how we should respond.

Definitely 04-06. But I'm willing to bet you would probably somewhere between 16 and 20 during that time (as was I) which is why we're both saying that.

But yeah the current crop is a joke outside of FIFA which has been the same recycled (albeit great) game for 10 years.

04-07. I was in my early 20s, and I stayed up all hours of the night playing NCAA online and joined online leagues. Those were the days.

N64 was the greatest sports console and no one will convince me otherwise.

NFL Blitz
Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr.
Wayne Gretzky 3D Hockey
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics
I'll even throw in Destruction Derby 64

With all that said, sports games suck.

I still love when the 2k series first got on board with Dreamcast. Nba, NFL, and MLB were all great entries for their time.

They also had the 2k college football game. Must of been 2k1, remember lighting it up with Rohan, or who was supposed to be Rohan.

It was either fifa 98 or 99 that was one of my favorites as well.

Throw in some Gran Turismo and Virtua tennis. And I'd def have to say that 98-2002 for me.
