Speaking as one of the biggest Pete Maravich fans in the history of the world, it pains me to say it’s time to make some changes to our beloved assembly center. The problem is, most young folks don’t even know who Pistol Pete is anymore; much less recruits from out of state. The fact is there is one legend that is the face of our program (he even has a statue) and that is Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq is easily a top 10 player of all time, he’s a movie star, he’s an entrepreneur, he’s the face of the NBA.
I thinks it’s time to change the name of “PMAC” to the “SHAC.” Let’s do it for recruiting. Let’s do it for the program. Let’s do it for our children’s children.

Pete changed everything in basketball. There was no behind the back dribbling, passing, or through the legs moves with the ball which he invented. PMAC forever.

Why not change it every year based on your best player. Next season it will be the Skylar Dome. The year after we can call it Smart arse Arena or Wat Up Arena.
