Anyone else automatically assuming one's political views when they see them w/ a mask on?

Just hit me today when I was walking around Home Depot.
I didn't really judge the old people, but those who were wearing them and appeared to be under 50 or so, I automatically thought "Lib".
I have zero doubts some of them were judging me thinking "Fascist".

No. I’m a conservative and wore a mask to the grocery store yesterday.

I’m not a liberal and I was at home depot with my wife today and both wearing N95 masks.
You’re an idiot

No.
I see people that are a bit worried because even the medical “experts” are all over the place. I see people doing something to try and protect themselves or someone at risk they have at home or in the family. When I see a mask that’s generally what I assume.

No.
I don't care what others do to make themselves feel safe.

To be fair Trump recommended it but he also said he’s not doing it and said it’s up to you.

I have 3 like this and have been considering wearing one out in public just to see what kind of looks I get.

Well, another piece of anecdotal evidence is my customers.
I do pest control and know a lot of my customers' politics, because we talk about it often, and have for years.
The ones who are the most freaked out tend to be the ones further to the Left. And keep in mind, I deal w/ A LOT of old people. Just going off of what I see personally, seems like the ones to the Left are the ones most freaked out by this......but they still fear bugs more, so they let my employees and me in their houses.

If I wear a mask it protects you more than it protects me. It’s about good citizenship and respect for others.

I'm under 50 and wear a mask every time I go to the store. You seem pretty fricking stupid politicizing masks.

Wore one every flight I took at the beginning of this. Also, wiped down my seats, tray, window, etc with alcohol wipes. Staunch conservative.

Congrats on sharing your ignorance with all of us. You have no idea of any of those people's underlying health conditions, if they might be feeling sick, or they have been exposed. How about you focus on your own issues and not worry about what others are wearing?

You got the Chinaman Bat-Eater Wheeze??
You shouldn't be out anywhere, mask or not. It's about good citizenship and respect for others.
