Grocery stores? Really?

Wouldn’t you think that during this near world wide shutdown that the very last place on Earth you would want to stay open would be a grocery store?
I know they have to be open but literally what better place to spread the bug?
The check out person has to touch and scan every single item that every single person in that store has touched. You are in line and then every item you have purchased is touched by the check out person.
Do you spray or wipe down every item you purchased when you get home? Doesn’t this virus live on surfaces for an insane amount of time?
It would seem that during a shutdown the very first place that should close is a grocery store! But they can’t.
My point here is that a global shutdown seems pointless.

Self checkout, wash your food before you eat it
But why don't you tell us how people are supposed to get food if they close grocery stores?

I stopped the other day at a market that also serves lunches. Guy came out, took our orders, and brought our food. Meanwhile people were going in and out of the store to shop. An exercise in futility.

And after you touch all of the stuff in the store you touch your shifter, door handle, steering wheel, keys, phone, door knobs and everything you bought.
Next you wash your hands and go touch half of that shite again

I watched a lady in Kroger touch all the bags of Rotisserie chickens they had under the heat lamps. I guess she was looking for the one right for her. They were all the same and she grabbed every bag to look at the chicken.
People are stupid.
People are stupid.

I've been having groceries delivered this whole time.
The MIL helping us watch our kid cleans all the packaging and food so we're doing pretty well on the contamination front I think.
BTW this whole contactless delivery should have always been a option. If only they'd stop knocking the damn door or ringing the doorbell.

People dying of hunger is way more of an issue than dying of a virus.
Hungry people are breaking into homes

I told a friend that if I get the virus it is going to be from the grocery. I am home and I go to the grocery that's it for the past 3 weeks. GF is staying at her mother's house to keep an eye on her..Roberts has rubber gloves for people to use..But they are just too freakin expensive..I saw a box of Saltines for $3.99...At Walmart the same is $2.29...

Somewhere between 1-10% will die if contracting coronavirus.
100% will die if they cant get food.
100% will die if they cant get food.

Any more people would die of starvation than COVID-19 if they stopped selling food.

I feel like some of you weirdos truly want a "movie-like" quarantine or apocalypse type situation.

Sure, one way to avoid the virus is to starve to death before you catch it
