How do you not notice the qualifier in your own statement?

You have to account for all the people using them for other things too. Car accidents, major surgeries, etc.

Did you see that they cleared out the homeless camp under the clearview overpass and put them in the Hilton garden? Government is paying for it for a month. Idk how that’s going to work, if they pay people to clean up after them? Seems like a boiling pot to me. I guess time will tell.
Think you mean Claiborne. Metairie don't play like that.

239 on ventilators.
Given this, and that guestimate 70% on vents pass away and that they are spread out on the vents from lets say 5-7 days. Then (239*.7)/5 = 33.5 a day would pass in the future.
That's completely rookie ballparking it. If over 7 days it would be 24/ day die and if 10 days it would be 17.
Doesn't seem horribly doom and gloom as the amount that recover could be much better than that.

Thank god they built UMC. Could you imagine the situation if we were still throwing people into charity?

Northern Italy doesn’t have more cases than Southern Italy?

It’s no different than Italy where Northern Italy has a plethora of deaths.
Not looking in comparison to Italy. Looking to see how the rest of the state is faring as to what percentage of testing is positive.

Yeah but only after 7500 deaths. 7500 deaths in LA alone would be insane and the death numbers in Italy are still climbing like a moth f'er

Per the handwritten chart, Italy and La. have roughly the same death totals after 14 days of their respective outbreaks. Italy has 14 times the population La. has and you don’t think this is a cause for concern? Why not?

No doubt South La. and especially Orleans is leading the way.

Can someone explain some of these numbers:
Tests completed: 2,254
Commercial Test Completed: 15,775
Are these numbers indicating that LA has completed over 18k tests so far.
Cases Reported: 2305
Deaths: 83
Would we subtract these from the total cases and determined 15.6k were negative or recovered
Cases in Hospitals: 676
On Vents: 239
Is hospital reported as Serious & on vents Critical

That is such a pitiful number for state tests completed as compared to way more done by commercial labs. Another reason not to allow the government to be in complete control of healthcare.

Yes, the 2,254 is the number of tests done by the State Lab. 15,775 done by Quest, Lab Corp, etc

FYI
With respect to how the numbers will look in the coming days/weeks:
I know someone personally that was tested yesterday, who has been exhibiting symptoms for about a week, that was told it would be 5-7 days before the test results would be communicated.
So, I think its safe to assume that people that contracted the disease 10 days ago, will not show in the positive test numbers for another 7 days. I don’t suspect we’ll see numbers dropping anytime soon, even if actual contraction of the disease is shrinking.

I added a chart to the OP detailing the numbers from the beginning. It probably has some errors, but overall it should be fairly accurate.
