Allergy season is in full swing just in time for this coronavirus pandemic. I bet a lot of paranoid folks are going to waste medical resources after they've sneezed due to allergies.

Sneezing isn't a symptom of Rona

Runny nose isn't either

Got a dry cough and a scratchy throat the other day. Figured it was allergies but self isolated for a couple days just to be sure.

More importantly, OP, how many people are going to ask the same question on the OT before the coronavirus is gone?

for alot of people like me, merely taking a zyrtec (as other responses put it) doesn't help my allergy symptoms one bit. i have to take a regimen of three allergy medicines every day of the year - regardless if im having a flare up or not.

even then, there are times of the year it isn't quite enough.

the real answer though is that even in my worst allergy flare ups, i dont have a fever, body aches, sore throat, extreme fatigue, and i can tell it is a different type of discomfort than an infection.

I wake up every morning with a cough and every morning I think I have the Rona. Once 8am hits I drink a coffee and the cough goes away, my dumb arse freaks out the very next day when the same exact thing happens.

Not just allergies, but other things as well. I'm getting over a little cold I just picked up. I had low grade (100 tops) fever for a few days, headache, etc. Now if I simply followed what the news has been making fever out to be the devil, I would have dropped everything and said "OH MY GOD I HAVE IT!", and ran to the nearest doctor to go waste up a test only to get a negative. That's the problem with the anxiety right now. And, it's also where the elevated numbers keep coming in on numbers of tests. That's why people need to pay attention to confirmed positives/deaths rather than numbers of tests given.

This is a good thread and a good topic.

I've got allergies acting up right now. Sure, you're a little more paranoid than usual, but I've just been monitoring my temp everyday as a precaution.

Allergies kicked my arse one day last week. I was coughing and sneezing. Boss sent me home as a precaution.
