I'm really glad I'm not in Louisiana when there is a lockdown order.

That sounds very dangerous if you live in the wrong spot.

Yes. They’re going to change the tape to red.

Nah. Edwards is going to stick with the current lockdown until April 13th. Things will most likely be ramped back up on a gradual basis at that time. Anything 'stricter' would take the form of having the state declared a disaster area to access federal funding and FEMA assistance.

The longer I live here, the more I think just leaving it declared a disaster area would be a great timesaver.

Next phase is really cracking down on the enforcement of it. I checked a nearby golf course, to see if it had closed Sunday after the announcement. I found out that they were opening on Monday, and they are usually closed on Mondays. So businesses like that, which aren't essential but aren't closing will have to.

Golf Courses were allowed to remain open per JBE order provided they adhered to some specific guidelines...which, they have.

So they’re just roaming the aisles buying chocolate frosting and popsicles?

I did go to Walmart on Sunday and buy some popsicles along with a pool and splash pad for the kids.

I also bought milk though so I think I’m good

I hope so. Louisianans, as usual, make the wrong decision. Church gatherings, crawfish boils, etc are not helping. If this event shows anything is that the people of this state are more of the problem than the idiots THEY keep electing

I’m surprised Louisiana hasn’t been locked down already.

Louisiana is probably the worst hit state in the country on a per capita basis.

I'm sure many are. Plenty of hardware stores and others packed that shouldn't be. I get you may have an emergency repair, but the majority are there business as usual.

We won’t know if this phase worked for 14 days after Monday at 5pm.

I'm not the one making these claims. You are.

So are you making anecdotal assumptions based off your experiences being out when, as you said, you shouldn't be?

Or are you relying on some information/data that you aren't sharing?
