I’m working from home but my employer sent us official placards to commute to work if needed. I’m thinking they likely know more than what we get from media.

There isn't a difference. It's not because people aren't adhering though.

It's because the state's economy is built on essential industry and most of the people out and about are part of essential industries and services, or it's people seeing to their basic needs like food pickup and medical needs.

There's no way to enact anything stricter without martial law and civil unrest.

. They gave us the same thing and told us our jobs were essential. Which long term they are important to the oil and gas industry. But short term it doesn’t make a difference

I think it'll be in phases.

Phase 1 was what we have now, which didn't really change a whole lot. It's just officially announced.

Next phase is really cracking down on the enforcement of it. I checked a nearby golf course, to see if it had closed Sunday after the announcement. I found out that they were opening on Monday, and they are usually closed on Mondays. So businesses like that, which aren't essential but aren't closing will have to.

Next phase, if it's still needed is a full on shut down of a lot of the essentials, like you see during a major hurricane. Gas stations, grocery stores, etc closed for a period of time. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

It needs to be area specific IMO. Right now there are 1,172 cases in Louisiana and only 74 of them are north of Alexandria.

JBE is trying to get funding / money and resources for the entire state. He can’t do that by just shutting down Jefferson and Orleans Parish.

No.
You can’t really enforce anything unless you do a total shutdown of an area with enforcement through police or military. Govnuh is slow but not dumb.

Youd need both, and you dont have nearly enough of either to hold down real civil unrest. Itd work for a little while.

I heard a rumor that, there is definitely stricter measures are coming. Word is that they feel like "essential business" term was too vague and people that should be closed are open.
