The military comes in and is given almost unlimited latitude to enforce the law. The Bill of Rights is suspended. About anything you can imagine becomes fair game to keep order. Confiscation of arms, search and siezure without warrants, travel restrictions, enforced quarantine zones, etc.

It’s not as bad as people make it out to be. The military has one job and that’s to serve and protect the people and they will defend us and our freedoms. I trust the military more than the government

It’s true. Literally it’s reserved for when the SHTF, and it means the law says whatever the CinC of the troops wants it to say.
It’s only for dire circumstances.
And if they didn’t call it for Katrina, they won’t call for it here. It simply won’t get that bad.

All the "conspiracy theorists" who kept talking about martial law and FEMA camps don't look too crazy now. Funny how so called "conspiracy theorists" seem to usually be right. It's just nobody wants to listen, or likes what they hear so they immediately shut down mentally without even contemplating.
