This is stupid.

For folks who want to know what it actually entails (we've basically already been doing this in Kentucky BTW):

quote:

The stay home order is in place till further notice.

All dine-in restaurants, bars and clubs, gyms and fitness studios will be closed, according to the order. Public events and gatherings are also not allowed. Essential services will stay open, however, such as pharmacies, grocery stores, takeout and delivery restaurants, and banks.

So every small business that isn’t an essential operation and bar and restaurant owners can just go frick themselves right?

Along with all of their blue color lower and middle class employees?

frick them right?

This is going to hurt a lot of people. And I don’t understand why no one acknowledges that.

Gov. Newsom has been doing an incredible job in CA, much like the republican governor in OH. Not sure why you call him an "a-hole" unless you are just judging him by the D next to his name?

frick then right?

Yeah, frick all those immunocompromised people who work in the workforce who could die from this right? People with asthma, high blood pressure, underlying heart disease, underlying lung disease. I can promise you Louisiana has as much of those in the under 60 crowd as we do in Kentucky and it's not a small number by any means.

We'd have an economic recession either way.

If it means businesses re-opening and getting back to our normal lives sooner I am all for it.. Of course that goes along with the number of sick people going down..

BevMo in Walnut Creek is my go-to. Didn't know they sold Tallboys. Might have to grab me a pack. That shite is essential.

This will make 2008 look a blip on the radar if we allow all of those businesses to collapse. The government can't prop them all up as much as some think they can. It won't just be the service industry that lose their jobs either.

You could walk out of your house in 6 weeks with a Greek unemployment rate.

For how long? Not everyone keeps a 7-14 day food supply on hand.

That's kinda what the last week was for and apparently many people decided to load up.

I would assume smart people would announce say on a friday that you have until monday morning then the 14 day quarantine goes into effect.

But that would only be what a smart person would do. I can't speak for the stupid people.
