Job security has its advantages, I'm sure for them

It’s crazy busy no matter what you do in the hospital right now. Crazy times

I work in a high acuity ICU and things are flowing like usual. Patient visitors are very limited and that has got to be the best thing that has come from this virus so far.
P.S. Y’all stop buying all the damn toilet paper.

Depends on the hospital, ours is very packed and filled with covid

Our hospital as of yesterday actually had a surplus of open beds. Lots of elective surgeries getting canceled
Nobody is in the halls
They are only allowing 1 patient visitor per room. Cafeteria is employee only. So nice to eat lunch alone in peace

I think it’s important to post your city because UMC in Nola has been balls to the wall. Bed space is fine but a lot of time is spent sifting through runny noses.
Supplies do suck. At both UMC and the VA nurses are having to share masks because they keep disappearing.

one of my good friends has a wife who is a nurse. Talked to him this morning and he said everything is normal right now but they're expecting things to pick up over the next 2 weeks.

Busy. ER backing up with admits. No ICU beds

AZ hasn’t been hit that bad......yet.
Still a scary time at work, anticipating and preparing for the worst. Lots of workers panicked and scared.
The PPE shortage worry is a real problem for most hospitals.

It’s just going to get worse as we get more and more testing done.

Nurses are wearing the same PPE from room to room in many cases because if they take it off they might not find more. Cross contamination is a legit concern.

I do work that takes me to hospitals all over the Country. Business as usual everywhere...Everyone of my ER's gets crowded sometimes and actually many go on diversion and turn ambulances away....this is no different and no worse so far. Folks are being terrified of having no hospital beds or ventilators for nothing at this point. May change..but I seriously doubt it.

Yeah no. Don’t really want people knowing where I live and work

away which is a hipaa violation. And it’s just the beginning
Since when is going on diversion a HIPPA violation? EMTALA...perhaps...HIPPA..No.
Try again.
