And get in way over your head? I am doing a bathroom remodel and thought I knew what the hell I was doing. A week and $2k later, I'm neck deep in plumbing and electrical problems and can't figure out what the hell I'm doing. It seemed so simple in my head. I haven't let on to the wife yet that I'm stuck but she's gonna figure it out soon enough. On a scale of 1-10, how completely fricked am I?

If you haven't done electrical or plumbing ever in your life, then why would you think you just could? You could have spent 2k and had a professional do that shite. I don't think you're fricked, just think you're an idiot. One, that shits not that difficult. Two, for the reason stated above about having a professional have done it for that much money.

I gave up on a small painting project and hired a painter. Then I got a thirst for having other people do shite for me and got a yard man. Enjoy your privilege

Hell no, me and the OL would be divorced by day 2.

How do you have electrical problems on a bathroom remodel?
You really shouldn’t have plumbing problems either unless you want to relocate a shower drain or toilet. A simple remodel where all you do is update the tile, vanity/counter, faucets, shower head and a frameless shower enclosure isn’t to difficult or too expensive.

My wife and I are re-tiling one of the showers. Certainly not an easy project.
The only advice I have is to be patient and take your time.
I’m certainly glad we have another bathroom in the house!

You must of never been an electrician.
People can frick up the simplest electrical jobs. They can make a simple rewire, into a cluster frick, because they have a friend who knows electrical.

If you got electrical issues your up shite creek. Plumbing is ok. It comes with the territory. You should get some help
