I wish every team every year had a "Hornsby". That dude had an insane work ethic and was pretty damn clutch from 3 and seemingly never missed free throws. He also busted his arse on defense and off-ball movement.

that was a massive game. me and some buddies went up to fred's that day to day drink(it was a day game right??) and watch it. we got absolutely wasted the place went WILD when he hit that shot

I agree. Blair isn’t bad by any means but I grew up listening to Jim’s calls. I miss them too.

When I was in college (Texas) 1985-1990, I drove my girlfriend crazy playing Bruce Hornsby and the Range’s The Way It Is. in 1986, no one knew who BH was. I bought every album and collected every shirt that BH merchandising put out. I even had a refund check of $1 signed by Kathy Hornsby (wife).
Never in my wildest dreams that I would believe that one of Bruce’s sons would dawn an LSU Jersey. How neat that was for me to see such a connection take place 25 years later.
