That because these guys were successful in making lots of money that this prevents them from making money?
Do they think there is only a certain amount of money available in our economy and the billionaires grabbed it all up?
I don't get it.

They should have paid the people whose labor they used to get rich more. A lot more. It's that simple. Labor is the source of wealth. We have no problem with people having nice things. But a lot more people should profit from their labor.

That human productivity is about creating value and not a predetermined zero-sum pie is something that is lost on many folks.

essentially socialist believe poor people can't earn more because the Billionaires are keeping to themselves
Posted on 2/25/20 at 7:20 am to TigerBait1971
Yes. They made it on the backs of poor people. Apparently poor people somehow had BILLIONS of dollars stolen from them. Those rich people somehow figured out where the poors were hiding it, then took it.

Depends what you mean by this. It would hold true with real estate, for example.

They think the economy is a zero sum game and that any wealth you have directly resulted in a loss from someone else. Pure idiocy.

Most socialists are losers.
They see other people "have" and they themselves do not.
So, if others gets taxed 50% (for example) it's not going to personally affect them. These people have two nickels to rub together. They know the government isn't going to take away 1/2 of their PlayStation in their parent's basement. "Socialists" generally feel like they have nothing to lose and everything to gain by fricking over anyone with more money then themselves.
Remember, their mindset is: "It's greedy for you to want to keep your own money, but it's not greedy for me to want to take your money."
They are self-serving loser scum.

i Was guilty of thinking this way, until my 6th grade social studies teacher went on a rant about how two farmers make more money if working smarter, together, than separately. Jealousy caused the downfall.
I think it went like this:
Farmer joe grows corn and is really good at it.
FarmerTom raises cattle and is really good at it.
They used to trade cattle for corn and were able to concentrate on their specialty and got wealthy doing it. But farmer Tom made more money out of the deal, yet farmer joe made more than he could possibly Make by growing solely, corn.
Tom had a King Ranch f150 and Joe had a Ford ranger. Joe got jealous and stopped the deal and both suffered. Production went way down since both had to grow something they weren’t adept with.
Tom then had to buy joes ranger while he downgraded to a Ford Fiesta.
Then joe realized that he didn’t mind that Tom had a better truck because he wanted his ranger back. They worked out a deal and got the production back on track.

For a lot of billionaires, part of life is that money comes in and you decide what happens to it. How much they keep vs what they let others have is a question they face all the time.

Bernie had a throwaway line to Bloomberg the other night in the Debate that was kind of alarming if you ask me. He said “You should’ve shared those profits with your workers.”
Coming from a Presidential Candidate that is a true socialist who has an affinity for the Soviet Union, that was pretty scary verbiage.

People want to whine and cry about billionaires but they will keep on ordering off Amazon and not get off their asses and go buy something local to support their community. They will continue to post stupid memes about dad bods on Facebook and stump for Bernie on Twitter.
The world is full of fools and sheep.

More or less. It boils down to the asinine belief of "you didn't build that".
For example: Walmart.
The belief that a cart runner at Walmart should be paid as much as the CEO of Walmart. Because the cart runner is working just as hard as the CEO. Once you become an idiot and start thinking that way, you'll start going a step further and believe that Walmart and that CEO are stealing money from the employees.

Well...
100 years ago, like around the time of the Dem backed KKK, there kinda sorta was a finite monetary "pie". The Gold Standard limited wealth vastly as the only way to increase the supply was really, really, really, difficult. The term/label "panhandler" is derived from this (panning for gold in a river/stream).
Once the Bretton-Woods System was completely adopted wealth creation really took off. Money became fictional instead of limited by a physical supply. A few strokes of an accountants pen, and voila, mo money!

YES, they can't stand individuals becoming that successful..
Funny thing about Bernie and Bernie bros, they hate corporate America and Millionaires/billionaires...but absolutely love giving all the wealth and power to government, which is the HULK version of Corporate America they hate. Pretty ironic
