Conservative atheists need to accept this truth.

The day Christian values aren't held by a majority of the people of this country, we are doomed. Already compromised by the decline in population of being identifying as Christians as it is.

They’re too busy being mad and pretending that everybody who doesn’t accept their worldview lacks intelligence.

Ironically I know a few Atheists that send their kids to Catholic School.

Okay, I’m sure I do. I just wouldn’t call them Christian values, although there is quite a bit of overlap.

This is like a new twist on fire and brimstone preaching.
"Guys, seriously, if you don't convert to Christianity the Ruskies are gonna come get us."
For fricks sake.
You know, if you're concerned about the declining numbers in the Church, maybe y'all's churches should start having some in-house debates and start coming up with ways to rebrand your message that doesn't turn people off to what you're saying.
Just a thought. Don't blame others for your own shortcomings.

Not ironic at all. Children should be raised with morals and hope.
When we become adults, we shouldn’t need a belief (that’s what it is) in an all powerful entity to keep us in line. We should do good to create a good community (neighborhood, school system/city, County, State, nation).

Who wants to go to church? Bunch of people singing and acting strange. And boring. No thanks.

It’s not about branding. It’s about abandonment of the scriptures for the sake of entertainment and conforming the church to the culture instead of conforming the culture to the scriptures.

How do you “rebrand” the word of God?

You rationalize it however you want, bud. Makes no difference to me.
I'll just say that if it were me, and I shared the concerns of the OP, the last thing I would do is try to fricking scare people into coming back to the Church.
Did the OP ever think that the fire and brimstone bullshite is what turns people off? People don't like being told they're doomed to hell. It's off putting.

It's already been rebranded a thousand fricking times, man.
Where have you been?

This. I haven't been in a church since my grandmother passed 7 years ago.
Doesn't mean my values are much different than the good Christian that goes a multiple times a week.

What's with all the atheism threads lately?

I've seen this from both liberal and conservative atheists. It's annoying. I'm Catholic af but I don't push it on anyone nor have I ever tried to convert anyone. But too often atheists try to push their crap on others who don't want to hear it, just like Moromons and Jehovah's Witnesses do.

I’m an atheist conservative and agree with Christian values and think they need to be at the forefront of this country. I’m against abortion, don’t care about gay marriage, and say under God when saying the pledge.
I just can’t get over the invisible man in the sky that will send his “children” to a place of torture for not believing.
