If it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me.

My dad enjoyed it, kept a few bottles around when I was growing up.

Of course, I drank from his bottles, was good then. I have no reason to believe otherwise now...

Some people (myself included) get a Flintstones vitamin taste from it. I am not a fan.

Probably depends on your preference between Tennessee whiskey or bourbon. Dickel is filtered through a maple charcoal before aging

Love dickel. No 12 is tough to beat for mixer. Barrel select or bottled in bond for sipper.

Hmmm. Let’s see how I can explain dickel. I only drink bourbon. Dunno why. That’s just what I do. Beer fills me up too much. Not a big fan of other things.

Say you make a camp fire. Burn it all night long throwing all sorts of sticks and shite you find in your yard and on the side of the road in it. At the end of the night, gather up all the nasty charcoal out of the burn pile. Put it in a coffee filter and take a bottle of a decent bourbon you like, and run it through the coffee maker. Can you imagine that taste? That’s Dickel.

We could get it for around $5 a fifth in ‘79 and ‘80. Great value.

Recipe 12 is not bad, but it's extremely average. I prefer other choices in that price range

excellent

The 12 year old white label is the best and for $30 you can't beat it. My favorite. I would not pay more for any Tennessee Whiskey or Bourbon than what Dickel cost.

I don’t think no.12 is actually 12 years old. Could be wrong though.
