I hate it when people have devastating, debilitating hangovers and just take 2 sips of coffee and then are on about their day. Yeah fricking right. Anyone 30 an over with that type of hangover is laying on the couch all day under a blanket drinking Powerade and taking Goody's

People turn on the TV just as the news covers the story about how they are wanted for murder. They turn it off before the story is even finished.

Wait, damn it, I need to see what the cops know about me.

When a guy cooks dinner at his apartment for a date, he always makes pasta and marinara sauce.

There's a YT video where they split screen the opening scene for BD w/ Google Maps to show you which way he's going.

The map cursor jumps all around downtown Atlanta in a nonconsecutive route.

I'm guessing that's not unusual in movies. I know people have done the same thing for Ferris Bueller's Day Off and they're all over the place, not going in the right direction for where they're supposedly headed.

Fires never have smoke.

In a house fire, the place would be completely engulfed in black smoke, but dudes are running around dodging the flames.

True but they have to show the hero going through the house in flames.

But yeah, when they're in the house it's just flames, smoke is nowhere to be found to obscure the camera.

That's a good one I never really thought about.

How a terrorist attack or other violent occurrence at some minor event will cause an international incident:

Another one...

Things blowing up or colliding in space make sounds. Most recent one I remember is Ad Astra when Brad Pitt grabs a piece of sheet metal to go through the planets rings (which is absurd by itself, but that's not this thread), and you can hear all the rocks banging off it.

People having conversations about other people in the next room without lowering their voice. Most of the time there’s an open door or large archway they makes it even easier to hear what’s being said.

More for 70's/80's/90's movies before remotes but whenever someone is being chased by someone, cops, bad guys, etc.

They run out of the house or building and never have to unlock their car door before jumping in.

In movies, no one ever locks their cars...even when not being chased, they are on a date and they get out of the car and just walk to the restaurant.

The only time people lock their car doors in a movie is if it's a plot device and they've locked their keys in the cars.

That's the only time.

The offices of modern police, SWAT and CSI headquarters look like the bridge of the starship Enterprise.

Refrigerators are neat AF. Usually contain a carton of milk and a few canned drinks.

There are never half a jar of pickles, leftovers in Tupperware, old sour cream, and the usual shite in a typical fridge.

Taxis appear immediately after you walk out of a restaurant and raise a finger.

The main character is a complete goober, nerd, geek etc and has never gotten with a girl but happens to get with the hottest girl in the school/he knows during the plot of the movie.

The absolute worst for me is when a character will leave a person (usually an adversary) in their space.

A suspect is visited by the police at his house/office and then he "is late for a meeting" or some bullshite and then just leaves the cop in their house/office or whatever.

It irrationally pisses me off whenever I see it and it happens ALL THE TIME in movies and tv. The protagonist will just leave the antagonist to show themselves out of the protagonist's private/semi-private space on their own time.

Yep. Of the probably thousands of scenes with a character smoking, I think I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I've seen someone still holding a cig more than 30 seconds after lighting it
