Amazon Prime - potentially lost order (update page 2)

It finally happened, it appears an Amazon prime order got lost.
was supposed to be delivered Thursday via USPS.
The last update available via tracking is from 5 am Thursday morning, "package transferred to local postal carrier for final delivery".
It says my package may be lost and while it may still arrive, I can request a refund or replacement now.
But the only option is to "get a refund".
If I get a refund, and the package shows up at some point, do they just re-charge my card?
Never have any issues when the Amazon van delivers it. Freaking USPS.

No.. you get the package for free. Unless something has changed with people scamming the system. That has happened to me a few times.

Damn it's been a day. Went to Chik-fil-A for lunch and they gave me an unsweet tea instead of the sweet tea I ordered.
Repent Baws, the end is near.

This has happened to me several times and I’ve been SOL because amazon says it is on Usps for losing it (or because someone stole it) because it says delivered.
So I get all my stuff delivered to the amazon store now and go pick it up instead of delivered to my apt

Give it a few days. I've had packages with a Delivered status that I didn't actually receive until a few days later.

This has happened to me as well. Package was lost and when I called Amazon, they refunded my money and then 4 days later, I got the package. They didnt charge me a second time.

When this happened to me, I called Amazon Customer Service. They were very helpful, and told me to wait at least 24 hours after it was "delivered" (in my situation, it was shown as delivered, but I never received it) then make a claim. They gave me the option to get a refund, or send me the item again. I chose for them to send me the item again, and I received it within a couple days. Bodda bing, bodda boom!

I’ve had this happen to me once before. I had them ship a replacement at no extra cost to me. About one month later the original order arrived with no damage

quote:No. I received a refund after a package failed to arrive. At first I ordered a replacement and that didn't show up either. Both packages showed up a week later so I ended up with a double order and a refund.

Hell they even refunded me for something that was supposed to arrive in 2 days and didn’t arrive until the 3rd day.
Now I was at home waiting on this order with the shades on the front doors open, and the package said delivered even though it was not. I emailed Amazon and they refunded me, and said if you get it eventually keep it.

I don't order much from Amazon, but every order that transferred to the USPS to deliver has been lost.

This is one of the main reasons Amazon is building its own delivery service.
