Joe knew were TDs as soon as they lined up and saw defense according to him on DP today. Even if slightly exaggerated, it amazes me how easy it was for them, especially in SEC. I’m cautiously optimistic that SE can maintain these concepts and teachings with help from a quality PGC. As Joe said today the best trait you can have as a QB is being cerebral. I have full confidence in MB to carry over same work ethic and knowledge that Joe showed this year. Might not be 60, but give me the over on 40 passing TDs. This offense isn’t going anywhere.

Holy shite. 40 gets him a Heisman too. And if MB is the Heisman winner then again, we are in crazy good shape at the end of the year. I'd love it and believe it to be possible, but if he hits 30 I will be pretty happy too.

You have Justin Fields coming back with another year under his belt. Last year was his first year starting and he absolutely killed it.

TL is gonna have a cakewalk again, but it remains to be seen if he will return to form.

Etienne is back for his senior year, and will be about as close to as a full fledged NFL runningback as you will see in college.

40 won't cut it, especially since people will remember what Burrow did a season before and it's pretty well known that he has a Biletnikoff winner on the outside.

I'd love to see some crazy continuity where we are now producing Heisman winning QBs, but we have to lower our expectations, just a little. We just witnessed something very special. I think Brennan has all the physical tools to surpass what Burrow did, but he has to have that mindset.

Right Obi whan, because the list of QB's with 40 TD's in a season is so long and filled with scrubs and no hardware.

But MB has a serious girlfriend who might keep him busy on game days.

No one will ever surpass the season Joe just had. We'll never see anything like it again. It was magical.

. Yep- magical and surreal. Never being topped. Not in my lifetime or likely anyone else’s.

I'm not worried about Brennan or the PGC. O will get somebody for the battle we ran with Burrow. Brennan has a cannon and a quick release, and we have the most insane receiving talent in the country.

How many programs in 2020 can say their fourth and fifth WRs are somebody as athletically gifted and fast as Palmer and Boutte (I expect him to jump several people)? How many programs' top two receivers combined for 2450 yards and 33 TDs last year? Who has a 5 star TE? Who has the highest rated TE prospect in recruiting service history?

Our RBs had 78 catches last year, that's NFL stuff. The most we had prior in that decade was 50 in 2017 (because our WRs were just inexperienced athletes outside of Chark) and none came closer than 45 after that.

It's a pretty big list. Single Season Passing TD Leaders

Hitting 40 TD passes next year will get you 46th on the list. Of the 46, 25 have done it from 2011-2019, and 35 of the 46 have done it the past 15 years. Of the top 10, only two won Heismans (Burrow and Bradford). Three different SEC QBs have topped that 40 mark in the last 3 years.

It will be surpassed within 10 years. The rules have changed to favor passing offenses. We will see more and more of this.

I agree. With all of the elite offensive talent, LSU will have on the field surrounding Brennan next season, along with this new LSU high octane offense, a season where he tosses for less than 40 TDs would be very disappointing to me.

As I believe that with this new LSU offense, which heretofore hasn't been stopped yet, that LSU will repeat in 2020 as the SEC Champions again.

If MB is even in the conversation or better yet, gets an invite to NY... I'll be happy for him.

I worship the accomplishments of Joey B as much as anyone but one day we are going to realize we also had the best group of receivers ever as well. Bama came close with Juedy, Ruggs, Smith, and Waddle but they did not have the TE and RB options like Joe had and even on a head up comparison Chase, JJ, Marshall, and Moss outplayed them.

In summary, I believe that Joe had so much confidence in those receivers that he was able see those 30 TD's before they happened.

One thing easy to overlook: Burrow had incredible pocket presence, as well as good escapability. I dont know that MB can scoot the same but it is highly unlikely he moves in the pocket as well. Few in the NFL do

Joe had 16 passing TDs in the postseason.

If MB throws 44 in 12 games then he will be in NYC.

He also stated JT Barrett was the person he learned the most from. His work ethic impressed him and he mimicked it. So I'm certain an intelligent Myles will do the same. See Joe's work ethic and mimic it. I have a confidence in MB although not having a ton of film to back it up.

Your receivers last year were fantastic. Ohio State has very good receivers. Jameson Williams and Jaelen Gill would fit the bill.

"Ohio St. has very good receivers. JW & JG would fit the bill". As Ryan Clark put it, most teams have 2 very good WR's , who draw the defense's top 2 DB's. So the goal is to focus on the 3rd WR, as that means he's covered by the 3rd best DB. LSU, counting the RB, has 5 legit top WR's. Do the math, who is left guarding those two others? Major advantage LSU.
