If you ever want some free ones, let me know. The cigar community is very friendly and always willing to share.

Arturo Fuentes 8-5-8 natural wrapper. Also use a punch not a cutter.

Go to JR, Thompson or International online and get several samplers and figure it out for yourself.
Srsly, you gonna assume the OT collective has the same taste and preference in cigars as you?
Smoke the samplers, note what you like and starting digging deeper after that. The journey and discovery is a big part of the fun.

I just ordered a best of Perdomo medium sampler from Famous Smoke Shop. 10 Perdomos for 34.95
I have had better luck with Famous Smoke Shop than Thompson. Thompson seems to want to push you into a club with recurring orders, that limit what you can buy to get the right prices, just wasn’t for me. With Famous, I just order what I want when I get the notion.

Second that. I bought a punch, but my favorite is a .223 shell, sharpened.

I’ve never had a good cutter, but the cheap one I have doesn’t seem to do well on the robustos I tend to smoke. I can see them working well on torpedoes and such.

Use a punch that’s what it’s for.

Flor de Las Antilles by My Father. Won cigar of the year in 2016 and is about $8 a stick. I also really like the Macanudo Cafe line too for a different flavor.
I actually like these more than Cubans which are very good...but also fairly subtle.

Recently visited Cuba. Attended a cigar workshop followed by tasting. I tried a variety of cigars and alcohol. I want to say that Cuban cigars are my favorites. I bought myself a couple of boxes and at the same time the best travel cigar humidor best travel cigar humidor with a built-in hygrometer to track the level of humidity inside, since there was a long way home by plane.

Stay away from Thompsons like the plague. Atlantic, Jr's, Famous are excellent online vendors. The cigar hobby can be a slippery slope however it can be very enjoyable especially with friends. Enjoy!

I’ve been using a v cutter for a while now. It’s a happy medium between a punch and a cutter.

Get a pipe and start experimenting with pipe tobacco. much cheaper but there is a learning curve on how to fill, tamp and smoke a bowl of tobacco in a briar pipe.
Pipe tobacco is readily available (for now) online and is inexpensive for top quality tobacco that would be very expensive if purchased in a cigar.
Don't forget that February 20 is International P Smoking Day. Happy early IPSD!

Does anyone have a good source for humidors at a decent price? I’ve bought a couple of damaged ones from 1st class humidors, but I’m looking for one that’s 50-75 capacity with a tray, but I don’t want to spend any more than I have to.

What's your price range?
Well, I’d like to not spend more than $100, but would probably go more for one I knew was quality. Kind of hard to know.
