I enjoy them a lot, but I am not knowledgeable at all. I only smoke them when I’m with people who know about cigars. What’s a nice cigar that won’t break the bank?

Any other advice is very much appreciated!

Rocky Patel is a good brand to start with. If you are in BR, go to Habana Port on Perkins and ask them. It's a cool shop and they are very helpful.

5 Vegas has several affordable smokes for around $5 a piece. The Classic and the Triple A are two of my favorites.

Really no easy way for people to tell you what you will like.
You’ll just have to try a bunch and figure it out.

Stick with good brands. Maybe keep a log of what you liked and didn’t. Even if it is just a mental list.

There are sampler packs online, but they won’t be a quick solution for you. Unless you want to be a one trick pony that stays with the first one you ever like.

I find Nicaragua to be the best, but that’s me. I don’t smoke often, so I like big ring gauge to burn cool and a lot of length to give me time to get into enjoying it. With shorter sticks, I find it’s gone right when I start to really get into it. But I also make sure I have plenty of time for that.

Good brands: Rocky Patel, drew estate, done pepin, Olivia, Jamie Garcia, aj Fernandez, turano, viaje.
Tons of others. That’s just a quick list.

Buy some sticks, enjoy the journey.

Stay away from the cheap cubans. There has been some kind of tobacco blight on cuba for most of the past decade. If you are wanting a reasonably priced cigar go with Honduran.

I’ve just been getting into it for a year or so. My favorite smokes so far have been Romeo y Julieta 1875 Reserve, Perdomo Champagne something, and Cohiba. Everyone is different, and have different tastes. I’ve smoked a couple different Rocky Patel, and didn’t really like either one. AJ Fuentes I smoked was really good. Smoked a couple Olivia something, they were good, just not as good as the RyJ or the Perdomo or Cohiba to me.

Hard to go wrong with anything by him or Don Pepin Garcia. At least in my experience.
