get an email 4 hours later that the diagnostics came back and to address the issues they found it'll cost me a smooth 3500 dollars lol. I bought the truck brand new, its about 30 months old. I take good care of it, certain don't rag it out. And this isn't meant to be a Ford bash post. I actually love the truck and was fine with Ford. Truck has about 60K miles on it. I don't know the point of this post honestly, i guess just to share some misery haha.

Go to AutoZone, have them pull the code, Google the code and how to fix it yourself. It's potentially a really easy fix.

Better yet, buy a scan tool for yourself. They're only about $20-$30 on Amazon for a basic one.

I have a co worker that needs new heads on his 5.0 to fix a recurring check engine light. Less than 100k miles.

Good luck if I had to guess Ford will say pound sand on warranting that under goodwill.

Every brand has problems but I see a lot of high dollar out of warranty repairs on Fords on the current models.

Why would you take it to a dealership?

Of course they will rape you

Today, I took in the car of the person who wants to be Mrs. Chemist for the 60K maintenance schedule...$900+. Not your $3500, but no one likes spending money on this.

Hold off on the repair, and stand by for an important phone call regarding your vehicles extended warranty. They have been trying to reach you. Let them fix your vehicle.

Is it running bad? If it seems to run ok then just ignore it and keep driving.

I’ve gone 200k miles on a truck before with the check engine light on

Ford is the worst when it comes to service. Love my truck, hate their service.
