True, but no one ever turned on a radio to listen to someone make a sale.

Certain types of college professors.

Things like English, biology, and chemistry don't pay that great. But things like Accounting, Finance, Engineering pay really well for PHDs. Like a few hundred thousand. Perhaps supply and demand?

I worked as one for industrial construction and made 120k a year with a truck, gas card, cell phone paid for, expense account. Now I’m in operations for a plant.

Helicopter pilot. I worked in air medicine briefly and was shocked how little the pilot made. They carry enormous responsibility and deal with pressure to fly in less than ideal conditions.

I figure they do that to keep them on staff.
They'd probably make that or more in private industry.

It's gotta be a sweet deal; making $300k and tenured.

But moonlighting as a rush chairman more than makes up for it!

Lawyer relative to income could be bunched with “salesman.” Pay varies wildly. There’s a ton who basically end up working non-law jobs but the top 25%-33% or so in the profession are doing very well fiscally.

Short of pure rainmakers, it’s a miserable job even for those doing well though.
