You really are an idiot.

If you say to investigate Biden because he was dirty, and he turns out to be right, that would kinda substantiate his claim of criminal behavior on his part.

This means he wasn't doing it just to smear him. He did it because he thought there was a crime there.

How is talking about the Bidens any defense of Trump blackmailing a foreign power to claim to be investigating political adversaries?

I don't get it.

You don't get it because you don't want to get it. President Trump said on the phone call, "Could you do us a favor? Could you look into possible corruption regarding Biden and Burisma?"

Nobody in their right mind can watch Pam Bondi's presentation and NOT KNOW that, at the very least, there was ample reason to suspect corruption by the Bidens and others in this matter.

PS - Pam also mentioned Chris Heinz. That's John Kerry's Stepson, for those who don't know.

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave....

Let me make it generic:

If you're on trial for committing a crime, claiming you committed the crime against a criminal is no defense.

Can you explain how the Bidens' criminal behavior is any defense for Trump?

What would the crime be that Trump has committed?

Exactly.

The two articles boiled down to “Not following Congress’ orders”, which isn’t illegal considering the executive has their own rights which can be asserted and decided by the courts.

The House being impatient isn’t the White House’s fault.

Exposing Joe and Hunter’s corruption lends validity to the president’s concern that he expressed to Ukraine’s president. And this does seem to be the central point of the Dem’s push for impeachment.

Dems consider the President doing his duties to be illegal when it negatively impacts one of theirs.

One of the Presidents duties is to uphold the laws of the country, which includes rooting out and prosecuting corruption in government.

If you only went to CNN.com you would not know anything about this. Every story is Bolton.

It seems you’re the one having a problem with metaphors.

I’ll help you out.

If you want to create a metaphor about two people who committed crimes, it’s important that both of your metaphorical criminals have actually committed a crime.

Trump didn’t admit to a crime, because he hasn’t committed a crime... nor even an impeachable offense.

Maybe don’t admonish others about their literary shortcomings, genius.

I've bolded the important part of your response.

If Trump were talking to his AG, that would be one thing. But he wasn't, he was talking to a foreign head of state.
That's not how we investigate AMERICANS abroad. By dragging the Bidens into it, Trump is admitting he tried to get foreign assistance against a political foe.

Whether or not the Bidens committed any crimes is irrelevant to whether or not the president committed impeachable acts.
quote:

he thought there was a crime there.

Then why didn't Trump act according to US law and consult with his AG?

All Trump has to say is that he didn't do anything wrong - and stick to it. And WHATEVER he does, don't comment under oath.
