I keep seeing this stat out there in polls.

Where are these people? Nobody I know (including people who didn’t vote for him) is saying this. Granted, they may be hesitant to say it in front of me, but I just don’t hear anybody in real life even talking about this whole thing at all.

If it were true, which it's not, the other side of that is 50% want him to stay. But it's the media so you can be sure this is false.

It’s complete bull. Schumer said it several times. Fake news.

They only have to wait 10 months to do it.

My mom is a liberal and we argue frequently over politics. Even she is sick of the impeachment bs and knows that it will hurt them in the next election.

I would question those numbers but even if true; it's a popularity vote as no one has heard even 1/10 of the evidence. Hearsay for the most part from the prosecution side and only an opening argument from the defense side. Stupid to even do such a survey but they have to sell something and some folks eat it up. I will be so glad when this crap is over.

If it were 50-50 there would be no impeachment. They would wait for the election.
Desperation! They know the embarrassment they face.

First, I oppose this impeachment process.

But remember that people tend to self-segregate. Pauline Kael didn’t know ANYONE who voted for Nixon, either.

I had an entire Poli Sci class on polling when I was at LSU. I can sum up the class in one statement. You can make a poll say whatever you want. Geographical is huge. I bet they took the 50/50 poll in NYC. Go take it in middle America and see the difference.

It's one of those things that is perhaps true but legally inconsequential anyway

I'd guess it's probably not true

It's probably more like 45/55

Polling questions probably be some shite like - "you can only choose one. A hammer strike to your head... or... trump being removed. Pick one"

Right. Just sampling random area codes, you're going to get a lot of urban dwellers because that's where most Americans live these days. Urban centers skew heavy blue. You'd get a much different result in polling by throwing darts at a map of the U.S. as your sample audience.

Interesting. Easily 75% of the people I hear say they want him gone, whether impeachment or election.

ALL polls are bullshite. Why this isn't obvious I'll never know.
In a country of 320,000,000 people, 500 say x and that becomes the "opinion of the American people"??
Come on.

I don’t doubt that, and I have no problem with people wanting to vote him out of office. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

This crap, though?
