Define drop like flies?
You mean, a mortality rate in line with all other counties
Trump fricked up by not cutting China and Europe off sooner and then ultimately being over the CDC and their clusterfrick out of the gate.

But are we really going to peg that on her?
Are you kidding? Instead of taking action, she let people socialize and party all St. Patrick's Day weekend. As the cases rose in New Orleans, she did nothing until statewide measures needed to be implemented.
Governor Edwards has done his job. She has not.

Are you ignoring the fact that many who are from China and now live in other countries traveled home for Chinese New Year which was at the height of the epidemic there?
1: Absolutely not. My daughter is an NYU student with a Chinese dorm mate who went home for the holidays. Three worrying weeks after her roommate, and many hundreds of other Chinese students returned, no NYU Manhattan students were suspect infected. At the same time, thousands of Americans without Chinese descent went to China and back as well.
The concern in NY started in Feburary outside Manhattan in a community that is not normally associated with China.
2: Spread is travel related and Chinese Americans are no more likely to travel to China than Italians or other Europeans are to their ancestral countries.
3: Yes, it started in China but Chinese people living here or in Vancouver are not more likely to spread it.

Alabama now has 440 cases. Alabama has added 198 confirmed cases just today (Wednesday). 141 of the 440 total are in Jefferson County (which is where Birmingham is).
Alabama also had its first COVID-19 death, in Jackson County in northeast Alabama.

Then surely, being the humanitarian you are, you understand that economic collapse, job loss, homelessness, etc all lead to higher death rates?
It's not as simple as staying home forever. Even a few more weeks of this will make it impossible for some families to ever recover. It will also destroy small businesses and more people are employed by small businesses than anything else in the USA.

Got word from a hospital I work with ... one of the best in the world... that they have 7 confirmed cases in just one of their ICUs. That’s pretty astounding. Sounds like a small number, but it’s really not.

If you pull your head out of your arse you might see whats going on around you eventually.
Denial will get you so far, as I am sure you have noticed.

He actually was way out ahead on blocking travel to China and was as per usual called racist for doing so. There have been missteps for sure but that is not one of them,

You've had some freezing cold takes throughout this ordeal. Maybe take a breather and come back later.

You would infect your own parents with the virus if you though it would hurt Trump. Your opinion means nothing.
