Just some basic hospitalization stats from Ohio. That 25% hospitalization mark seems be pretty consistent. Hopefully it will go down as testing includes more of the population.
Yeah, Dewine has made it clear they are only currently testing people that basically check all the boxes on symptoms.
I’m guessing Ohio’s hospitalization rate for the true infected amount is considerably under 10%.

Good thing nobody wants to move to Baton Rouge. Suck on that Texas!

I wish that Louisiana would have a pie chart like that. Even dummies like me can understand it and it gives a concise picture of the situation.

Well, it is people that originally fled where they were from being forced to return home.

Update from California:
For those that are interested...we are doing pretty good now. Still seeing an influx of possible cases but testing is only being utilized for those who require admission. Our census is ok. The lack of electives and unnecessary ED visits has helped tremendously. PPE remains a problem but it is getting a little better everyday. Our 34 y/o nurse came off the vent which is awesome. We have had a 61 y/o that managed to get extubated. One thing that seems off to me though is that the numbers on the John Hopkins sure do not go up when we see multiple positives in the same day? Not sure how those numbers are being reported but some days we have more positives than the number increases and we are only 2 facilities? Anyway, overall we have adjusted and are holding up well. I expected it to be a lot worse and if it stays like this we will be fine. Maybe the curve has been flattened enough that the impact will be negligible. We have 2 Covid units. An ICU and a Med surg. We have not used the new ICU we made in outpatient recovery at all yet. So that’s a promising sign. Stay healthy everyone.

This is great to hear! Thanks for the update. Hopefully you continue to see the PPE situation improve as the logistics get worked out.
As for the numbers updating, I'm, guessing there is a delay from when the hospital reports to the state and the state actually incorporates those numbers. I have noticed that in other locations. The local paper will report new cases at a hospital, but the state won't have the numbers in their daily report for another 2-3 days.

Could be a cutoff time. After 6am goes to the next day numbers or something.

Our internal hospitals’ numbers are a couple days ahead of the mayor and state too. I confirmed we report them daily but I think they just give it a buffer to be sure they’re right or something.

Nashville morning update. @TheCaterpillar any idea where he's getting these? He's still claiming fewer hospitalizations than you're claiming. Are the cases you're referring to still pending results in testing?

Glad to hear some "good" news with good being relative. I keep looking for your posts -- they are appreciated. And yeah for the 34 yo coming off the vent.
1) How many do yall still have on vents
2) How will long term vent use be handled? Like at what point is a decision tree used to continue/dc vent use? (yes a scary thought)
