The doctor who was in the Oxy commercials saying shite about pseudo addition and that there was no correlation to addition and oxy and all that nonsense is still a practicing pain doctor in North Carolina.

What and where is the Purdue rep, Chris Davis? I really enjoyed his take on what they were doing. I've gotten on the google machine and can't find anything about him.
His name isn’t Chris and he’s still in south LA.

Watched it all over the last two days. Fantastic.

Just wanted to say thank yall for the positive feedback about the Documentary. What yall are saying on here is on par with what I'm seeing on Twitter and other review sites.
The Schneiders are relieved to be seeing the positive feedback as well. You never know how the public is going to react when you put yourself out there for the world to see.

This was one of the best films I have ever seen and Dan Schneider is now a personal hero of mine. I believe his tunnel of hope will become a reality!

Yeah the pharma rep seemed like someone I have met before but the name Chris Davis didn't ring a bell. He's eerily familiar to me.

Is it me or did it seem like he's been dipping into the old company's supply, himself? Dude seemed all fidgety and nervous like he was on something.

Thanks for the autobiography.

His presentation was a bit off. There’s probably more to that story.

Mr. Schneider's drive is likely from what will be a lifelong guilt from either 1. Having no clue about his son's addiction or 2. Willfully ignoring his signs of addiction. A person does not go from nothing to buying from street dealers. Danny had likely been doing it for a while. Also a good chance that it started at parties and with pills much like his dad prescribed.
Also a very good chance that his girlfriend (not in doc) and his sis knew what was going on.

Finished watching last night. Very well put together and heart wrenching at times. Would suggest as a must watch.

Fascinating on so many levels; his determination, the bravery of that woman to testify, why it took so long to bring the Dr down when it was so obvious, etc.
But why was he recording so early? I mean, he recorded his wife crying about his son dying.

Yeah, for all his good virtues, this guy is a nut job on some levels. Seems like he recorded everything, all the time.
He's probably recording this.

Had to laugh when he calls DEA again and they ask him if he’s recording the call, says no, all the while recording

This is what blew my mind. So the DEA said they were already investigating it and then when they dad would call to check up they would tell him it takes time. I understand investigations do take time, they don't want to do a sloppy job and screw the whole case up, but anyone could have gone sit across the street from the place, at night, and see exactly what was going on.
What were they unable to get that took so long? The dad pretty much did their job for them.and I think it shows something about Louisiana politics. Nothing gets done unless someone takes it upon themselves to figure out how to go through all the channels and make it happen.
Yeah. I didn't get that either. They needed some sort of smoking gun and that smoking gun was her writing an RX for some 100 lb girl that would have killed her?
Any moron could have known what she was doing just sitting outside her office at night.

IIRC, Mr. Schneider said that recording everything was therapeutic and he could talk to the recorder when he was alone and no one else would listen. I'm sure after the recordings, he would go back and re-listen to document hand written notes.
Obviously he didn't trust the authorities (NOPD, DEA, FBI) and wanted to secure every conversation to build his case vs. the killer and Dr. Cleggett. W/out those recorded conversations, he has no case. Quite apparent his obsession with recording started to effect the relationship with his family. Dude was recording their dinner at Rocky & Carlos, wife was ready to punch him in the face. I mentioned this earlier, it's a miracle all those boxes of cassettes and files/paperwork survived Katrina

Blaming doctors for heroin addiction is a stretch nowadays. DARE is educating people in both middle and high schools. Also, what parents don’t tell kids that drugs are bad, mmkay?
At the end of the day, taking narcotics whether is prescribed or illegal is potentially dangerous. I get that someone who gets hooked from a prescription drug and find sympathy for them. Kids acting cool or badass not so much.

They are nowhere near 100% of the blame, but people like this lady who was just a pill mill should DIAF.

That is a cynical view. Do you have some kind of firsthand knowledge of Danny Jr’s history? Are you a parent? Have you lost a child?
Surely the man had blind spots, we all do, we are imperfect humans. The message in this film is that there are very powerful forces in the world that do not give a damn about their fellow man, resulting in the triumph of evil. Fortunately there are good men, like Dan Schneider, who will not look the other way, and as a result there is hope for the future in this fallen world.
