Well that Chase drop on what I thought was the best pass of the entire night by Burrow down the left sideline. I know Chase said it was too far left, but that pass was back shoulder with the defender leveraged inside. Chase did admit he should have turned around and caught it with both hands, and he's absolutely correct. That's what Burrow expected him to do.

Otherwise that's a 42-8 run during this time. In 28 minutes of play.

No slight to Venables because I really do believe he's an excellent DC, but he had no chance that night. None.

We fed Venables his genitals.

Wow. But look, OSU would have won though had we played them, not sure this team was for real.

Do the same for Clemson from the beginning of the game to the point they went up 17-7.

Did you hear him at halftime? He knew they were outclassed and it was over. Reality set in quickly that 2nd qtr.

258 - 100

That’s total drive yardage. Didn’t remove penalty yards.

The day of the game was priceless. Everyone sending me emails signed Geaux Clemson Tigers. All I heard was Clemson shut down bama and Ohio state. Clemson has the #1 defense. Clemson only gives up 10pts a game. I predicted 50 pts and they are very lucky trash Lawrence could not score any more because I would have won double.

Clemson coaches and players have all said LSU was just a better team and it was our year and been nothing but class and complimentary on us, let’s leave it at that

I was excited when they came out with the final rankings and put us back at #1, avoiding having to play both Clemson and Ohio State. But I'm convinced we would have shellacked both of them. But I'll never trade that 7 TD performance in the first half vs OU for nothing. Epic history being made there.

If that first pass isn’t called back from a penalty, LSU wins that game by 30

That was a huge call that hurt LSU, but obviously the correct call.

Caused LSU to get pinned deep two drives in a row, which gave Clemson a short field each time, with it finally paying off.

The only score Clemson got after the 10:38 mark in the 2nd quarter was a TD their first drive of the 3rd quarter - that started at the 50 yard line, set up by an interference penalty on LSU. Clemson's next four drives earned a TOTAL of 32 yards - or 8 yards per drive. And for the Clemson fans that are still wondering why Dabo (Elliott) abandoned the run in the 3rd quarter, Etienne's last 6 runs averaged 2 yards per carry. Much like the UGA game last year, opposing fans just don't seem to understand that the defense can make adjustments to take away the running game.

In short, it was all over 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter.
