I’ve success with some of the high frequency pest repellents for mice and bats. Probably would work for squirrels as well.

Put a snake which will get the squirrel

Find the hole where they are getting in. Buy enough metal flashing to cover the hole plus as much surrounding area as possible up to 12" in each direction. If it's a hole in the fascia then cover as much of the fascia 12" each direction. They will return and try to create another hole. They will usually be outside in the mornings so patch the hole then. Beforehand, If you can get into the attic with a broom handle or piece of pvc pipe and bang around the area they are getting in it may help scare out any that are still inside. If you hang outside long enough you can watch them return and freak out with their chirping. This is when I shoot them with a pellet gun. Otherwise you can just clap and make noise to scare them off.
