It’s penciled in as a loss in W/L projections so a win would just be lagniappe. Big nationally televised game though so I’m sure the trolls will be out in full force if we lose to tell us all this team has no shot to make the playoffs

The game thread will be a bloodbath

Sure, but a win could really set the tone for this push.

Game threads have become practically unreadable due to a certain poster posting a thought every 5 seconds.

I'd bet they lose 6 of these at minimum. 7 if Luca is back by 3/06.

Looking at the Grizzlies schedule, they might have 7-9 more wins in them to close the season out.

We have like 12 games against really crappy teams, and we play the Grizz twice.

I think we'll finish a good 3 games ahead of them in the final standings. Portland has a bunch of easy games like we do.

Per Shams

They play Spurs twice and Portland once after that

There is no way GSW is going to play Curry much. It would be beyond stupid for them to go win a bunch of meaningless games and go from worst record to 5th worst.

I think they changed the lottery system where the bottom 3 all have the same odds so coming dead last isn’t as important

COUNTERPOINT:
1) GSW is in a massive tax situation until the end of wiggins' contract
2) there is not a clear #1 player this year
3) every spot they go down in the lottery means millions of dollars in tax savings
4) they don't need a 19 year old rookie making 10MM/year on a 4 year gtd deal

GSW's starters next year are going to be curry, thompson, green, wiggins and looney. they have the t'wolves unprotected pick in 2021, a much better draft.

they'd be thrilled to fall in the lottery this year

I seriously doubt they keep the pick.

They will move the pick with Wiggins to get a star player compliment for Steph and Klay

I don’t think enough credit is given to GSW for how they handled this past year.

Durant leaving was idiotic, we know this.
But he did leave, and they turned Durant into Andrew Wiggins and the worst team in the west’s 1st pick in a loaded draft. They now have the assets to go steal some other teams star while curry/Klay/green are still in their primes. Or, Wiggins might get good and they can draft a stud.

not too bad

Spurs and Portland are who we have to worry about.

The spurs just won't die. Portland is missing Dame currently, but I can see them surviving until he comes back and their schedule is nearly as easy as ours.
