Joe Bonamassa
Warren Haynes
Derek Trucks
Davey Knowles
Buddy Guy
John Mayer’s blues set
Kenny Wayne Sheppard
Gary Clark Jr
Tab Benoit
Eric Gales
Robert Cray
Kingfish Ingram
Dumpstaphunk
Funky Meters
Parliament
The Internet
And of course local bands like
Big Sams Funky Nation
Soul Rebels
Trombone Shorty
Kermit and Rebirth
Mayfield and Los Hombres Calientes
Hot 8
Dirty Dozen
I don’t know if there are any young powerhouse soul singers like Irma Thomas, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin out there but I’d love to hear some old school soul music make a comeback.

His acting was fine. He did a great job as Grand Marshall. He just can't sing.

“The Kooks” put on a fantastic show and I’d make an effort to see them.
