EUGENE — LSU offensive analyst Jorge Munoz and former Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead have emerged in Oregon’s offensive coordinator search.
Looks like Moorehead is getting the job.
I don't think the Ducks would consider him if he wasn't a talented coach.

It’s not hopeless and I’ll wait and see
But there is a difference between being an OC and running an offense and being the guy who’s whole job is to break down blitz packages.

I cannot believe this thread got 5 downvotes! Who the hell do you all want?

Kendall Briles stop coming on here and trying to get yourself a job? Ensminger said himself that Munoz was the MVP in the offensive room. I just hope that Brady does not bring Munoz with him!

Their offense set records when he was passing game coordinator and WR coach which he would be here

Once your weakness gets exposed or teams recruit to stop that offense you need someone who will innovate and create. Munoz doesn’t seem like this to me.
I’d LOVE to hear your breakdown of Brady vs Munoz and their roles in the 2019 offense.

Ask Brady if this should be the guy.

Shadow staff should be being groomed to take over as assistant coaches/coordinators. Or at least use the shadow staff positions to let them prove themselves, and find good candidates.

quote:This! Some on this board act like Brady invented football. He was ONE offensive assistant that helped implement a new concept/system. He did not invent the iPhone, he brought one to LSU, showed us how to use it and left it here on his way out. The offense is here to stay. It is now institutional knowledge on the coaching staff.

Internal promotion opens a spot for frank on the staff.

Ensminger who determined Brady was our guy seems to be really high on Munoz. Burrow also credits him with a lot of his success.
I'd say those are pretty important endorsements.

ULL records? Any of them still standing?

If it isn't broke then don't try to fix it. Let Jorge move into the Brady role and keep the train going.
One thing to keep in mind is that while the concepts Joe Brady brought with him were new to LSU, they aren't new to football. I mean, Brady didn't show up in Baton Rouge and reinvent the wheel. LSU's offense isn't as exotic or complex as it might seem. A lot of it was pretty basic modern concepts executed at the highest possible level with the best weapons in the game.
If the execution is there and if the talent is there, LSU will be fine with Munoz.

100% correct. If it’s Munoz, hopefully he can. Any offense needs to be updated due to defenses figuring the offense out. Always need new schemes.

Munoz has been an offensive coordinator before... Brady has not so that’s not really a great comparison
