Dems opening up the anti-2nd A playbook in Va.

quote:.
The prospective law would require indoor gun ranges to be housed in buildings owned by the state of Virginia or the federal government. The only exceptions are for indoor ranges with less than 50 employees, and indoor ranges where police or federal law enforcement officers make up 90 percent of the users.
And even if indoor ranges do meet the second requirement, the bill has even more restrictions in store
quote:
These ranges must keep “a log of each user’s name, phone number, address, and the law-enforcement agency where such user is employed, and … the indoor shooting range verifies each user’s identity and address by requiring all users to present a government-issued photo-identification card.”

Their goal is to effectively make it impossible to purchase, carry, or use a firearm amidst a gigantic maze of regulation and rules. They know they can never overturn the 2nd amendment so they are just going to do everything under the sun to undermine it.

God damn dude. I'm getting closer and closer everyday to becoming a single issue voter.

They want gun range employees to keep tabs on cops? I'm sure that will go over well with local pd.

Virginia is a disaster

So you would need an ID to use a shooting range, but not to vote.
Idiotic

But you can vote on this issue without one. Classic.

I predicted in a thread a couple of weeks ago that they’d require people to register whenever they used a gun range, including documenting the type of weapon used.
The State will send in people the same way they send underage kids in to attempt to buy alcohol at convenience stores now. Business owners will follow the law when the only alternative is losing their business.
People are counting on law enforcement to protect their rights in VA? LEOs will be a exempt from these gun range rules so they won’t care about what happens to Joe Citizen or private business owners.

Dems are going to end up causing a shooting war here and LEOs are going to take a pass because they knew better than to get involved.
Under current SCOTUS rulings, they are under no obligation to actually respond to a call, including ones with imminent danger.

thanks to mass deputization,
we are all LEOs now.

Shall not be infringed.

The counties will claim these are all deputies / militia members.
The state will try to claim that only salaried employees are eligible for this distinction.

Except they can’t until they change the constitution of Virginia. They have lots of work to do
I will help my home state resist by any means necessary.
That’s fine, right progstains?

the state has their schedule,
and the local governments have their own.
make the cost of enforcement sky high and the state will quit

This implies the state cares about cost.
They want to impose a permanent change on the populace and don’t care how many of their own they lose in the process.

I envision Republican-flight from VA
Left wing activist shoots Republican Congressman in VA, Left removes guns in VA

The cost of enforcement will be extravagant.
Other state militias are exploring helping. This is ground zero. If you know any conservatives in Virginia, demand that they vote straight party line. Not voting and not voting party line has led us here.

To think that Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe (i.e. the first 4 Presidents) are from that state.
Posted on 1/11/20 at 6:19 pm to TrueTiger
They need to go to Richmond first for max effect.
